Would you like a counter that truely counts hits?  Whell, here you go, the script logs the visitors IP address, so if they have been there already, the counter won't increment, and if they have not been there, the visitors IP will be written to a file, and the counter incremented!  I spent hours looking for a counter that did this, but failed to find one.  So I wrote one!  and here it is.  (Try to reload the page a couple of times and watch what happens)
        There have been  visitors to this site.

The counter can use images or display as text, as seen below:

Please note, this script uses Server Side Includes, if you require this counter, but do not have a server that supports SSI, please e-mail me at btaber@hotmail.com
